So Vince fired a wrestler for a stupid and insensitive(and it was because rape jokes aren’t funny) joke? Well let’s take a look at how the WWE has dealt with wrestling and race! Here are just some of the stereotypical characters the WWE has given us over the years. Enjoy…
Dathistoryguy
- The Godfather- Remember Papa Shango? Same guy. a pimp complete with his “stable” of women. The show called them “Ho’s”
- Akeem the African Dream- Billed from the “Deepest Darkest Parts of Africa” . Managed by a “pimp” named “Slick”
- Big Boss Man- Southern Redneck police character with confederate patch on his shirt. Used baton to beat “lawbreakers”
- CrymeTyme- Urban rapper character with fake fronts and chains. SMH
- Farooq and The Nation of Domination- Farooq pictured 2nd from the left was a black militant who had a disdain for anything white.
- The Iron Sheik- A typical Arab character. Always played the “heel”
- Junkyard Dog- complete with chains around his neck he would carry a bone and bark
- Kamala The Ugandan Giant- African Native had to be “controlled” by a white handler

So true!
Thanks for the comment Christina! I used to LOVE wrestling couldn’t wait to watch it as a child. Got a little older and realized what was really going on! Stereotypes of every ethnic group and often the most degrading ones! Just makes you shake your head sometimes
Exactly i didn’t think nothing about it as a kid or now.
